Can I change Squads to be with a friend?
Yes. If you and a friend joined separately and were placed in different Squads, let your current Squad leader know that you would like to be together. The Squad leaders can coordinate the change and decide which Squad one of you will move to.
Do I have to join a Squad for the Dragon Rider Challenge?
No. Joining a Squad is optional. You can participate in the Dragon Rider Challenge without joining one and remain eligible for individual prizes.
Do I need to register for a community challenge?
No. Whimsy Forge Challenges do not have a separate registration step. If you are eligible, you can begin participating in the community activities when the Challenge starts.
Do I need to upload a photo or video for Challenge check-ins?
Photos and videos are not required for regular Challenge check-ins. Some Quests may require a photo or video to participate. When media is required, that will be explained in the individual Quest instructions.
How are Squad leaderboard scores calculated?
Squad leaderboard scores are based on eligible check-ins and Quest submissions during the eight-week Challenge. Each eligible check-in earns 1 point. Credited check-ins must be at least four hours apart, and no more than five count in each Monday through Sunday week.
How does a Squad earn the Iron Squad patch?
The Iron Squad patch is a Squad achievement. A Squad qualifies when every participating Squad member completes at least 40 credited check-ins by October 18 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern.
How do I earn the Dragon Rider badges?
When you complete the first lesson in the Dragon Rider training, you’ll receive the Rider Cadet badge to show that you’ve begun your training. How do I fix not receiving a squad DM after signing up?
Squads are group direct-message conversations inside Circle, not separate spaces within the community. To be assigned to a Squad, submit the Squad application. We form new Squads every few days as applications arrive, continuing through the final Squad signup date.
How do live training sessions work during a Challenge?
Live training sessions are held throughout each Challenge. Every session is a little different and may focus on different skills or activities. There is generally some opportunity to participate, but sessions are not always structured as trainer Q&As.
How do points affect prize drawings in the Dragon Rider Challenge?

How many people are in a Squad?
We aim for approximately 10 members in each Squad. Exact sizes may vary slightly as members join or move between Squads, but 10 people per Squad is the current target.
What happens if I miss days during the challenge?
Missing a day or two does not disqualify you from winning prizes. However, check-ins earn points, and points affect your chances of winning, so missed check-ins can reduce the total number of points you earn. The Challenge schedules five workouts per week.
