How do I fix not receiving a squad DM after signing up?

Squads are group direct-message conversations inside Circle, not separate spaces within the community.

To be assigned to a Squad, submit the Squad application. We form new Squads every few days as applications arrive, continuing through the final Squad signup date. For the 2026 Dragon Rider Challenge, Squad signups close August 25.

Assignment is not always immediate, so someone who applied yesterday may still be waiting for the next formation. Watch the community announcements for updates as new Squads are formed.

Once assigned, open your direct messages and look for a group conversation containing your Squad leader and other members. On desktop, use the Direct messages speech-bubble icon in the top navigation. In the mobile app, the icon is in the control bar at the bottom.

Members can sign up themselves through the Squad signup page. After applying, there is currently no self-service way to check their assignment status. Watch the community announcements as new Squads are formed. If someone specifically needs confirmation, they can contact support.
